The Kutch or Afghani patchwork is a handcrafted embroidery style that came to India back in 16th century when people migrated from Afghanistan, Greece and some other countries to Gujarat. Cushions and Table Runners with this patchwork (also known as Banjara designs) feature colourful designs using mirrors, beads and threads.
